An oil painting, waiting for the Atelier to be set up again, some day, one of the many in progress, or unfinished business…to be done over when the atelier will be up again, one day…

Not yet…it has to be installed, I have to figure out some space, it will engulf part of the ‘dining room’ actually it is a large kitchen, well lighted…and since I am a dreadful cook and don’t like much spending time on it :), may as well use part of it for painting…but the hardest thing is that I have to make space, and find a way to store approx 160 painting, will probably dismantle them and store them in a large closet..at my old place they were cluttering the atelier and it was becoming difficult to access it, and Maya had taken control of it..:D

Why not just hang them up? Wall to wall…ceiling to almost the floor? xx
Everywhere.. hallway .. closets but not the bathroom. Steam is not good!
I did that at my previous appart, had about 80 hanged up, will hang a few but I want to keep some space, will see how many eventually..:)

But if you are not selling your paintings, then who will see them? The air?
I tried a few things, bars, restaurants, even a gallery in old quebec city, some online shops, did some sales to family and friends, love money I think they call that…they bought it because they like the paintings but they would never buy any Art usually, but for their littlle brother, son or friend, it was ok…but I did some sales to peoples who did not know me much, but rarely, thought about lowering prices, but at the end it would not even cover the material and paint price; so dismantling them, I should be able to use the ‘faux cadre’ and prepare new canvas, save some space, somehow never had much success with the ‘Art circle’, wasn’t good at selling myself in my jobs, I am not better at that in Art…digital art, I prefer the term to AI, is better on this level, just a file, not taking much space on the computer, even if not having a painting to hold is something I do miss…If I take all our exchanges tonight, I could have a long post, maybe even a book if I take this further…:)

It’strue that it’s very difficult to make money selling art.
One has to become famous first.
How does one become famous?
Maybe do something… a spectacle… harmless but outrageous.
