Actually, it was my second one, with the one started or transferred from a painting, I have now 38 sketches, but only one officially finished…1 over 38 since 2014, not a great ration of completion, I guess I should be able to improve this soon, It should not be that difficult, and not a great accomplishment…:D
Now the most recent version for this sketch, this time I did used some layers, useful to isolate disparate elements like hair over the skin, the background, things that may overlap, etc, usually I do not use them, more like a trapezist working without a net, ok I guess losing what I did draw is not life threathening like a falling of the rope into the void…:)

This sketch page should be updated by tomorrow to the latest, If you click into the image, you will be taken there and could look previous versions, and more information on this work.

Really lovely JMR! It looks finished to me. xx
I think it is, there just so much I can add, I should read that again before thinking to add to it…:D
Just walk away a few times before you decide.
I know how involved you are with your art. It’s like a wonderful marriage and life that you never want to end.
I think that is really cool, and the romance should endure the wants of others for a painting to be finished.
So, paint away! My only advice (take it or leave it) is when the face is good, maybe leave that and change anything else….even the boots! xx
Paintings, drawings, sketches, digital or on the real thing are like unfinished symphonies. True most of the times I just don’t want let them go, I guess have to play it by ear…or the eye actually, and yes , if the face is good, don’t mess with it…:D Thanks Resa always nice to get your insigths on my work, always welcome, I like the analogy of romance never to be finished or over.
I think the best romances are never over.
