Un peu tard pour présenter des nouveautés ou des finitions…mais j’ai chargé quelques films, déjà présentés, mais je me suis dit que pour certains ce serait agréable de les regarder de nouveau, éventuellement ils seront dans une page, donc je commence avec Lonneke Engel, la photo du tableau, et le vidéo, et la photo du modèle.

A bit late to show something new or something finished, but I did upload on this site a few of the previous videos I did, so maybe it would be interesting for some of you to watch again those, I will try to set up them in a page, but for a start why not showing again Lonneke Engel, the painting, video and photo

Une photo, la dernière d’un vieux film diapo qui date de 1981…un joggeur solitaire, l’hiver, pour un samedi soir où pour la première fois depuis des semaines, j’ai repris mes pinceaux, il y a le pinceau qui mange…le nom que j’essaie de faire comprendre à mon chat…et les vrais pinceaux, sur qui vont sur la toile, pour faire changement aussi du crayon qui dessine à l’écran…en attendant cette photo de 1981…

A photo, the last one of an old slide film taken in 1981, a lonely jogger in a park,a photo to fill a post on this saturday night, where for the first time this year, I think, I took my brushes for some work, on a canvas, instead of a pen on a tablet or computer screen or even giving food to ‘pinceau’ brush in french, the name I am desperately trying to teach my cat his name, difficult he’s at least 3 years old and never had a name….in the meantime, that he learn it or that I have painting to show, a photo from 1981…

Je ne me décidais pas à dessiner hier soir, et je ne me sentias pas non plus d’attaque à commencer un nouveau projet de modèle 3d, donc j’ai repris un projet déjà commencé, et je me suis contenté d’explorer différents éclaiirage, de façon bien sommaire je l’avoue, question de me dire, au moins j’ai fait quelque chose….donc Vickie…sous divers éclaireages..

I could not get myself going last night on painting or drawing, and did not feel like I had the time to start a new 3D project from scratches, so I start playing around with lighting on a previous file already posed and dressed up, so I could tell myself that at least I did something….so Vickie under different lighting…

Pas tout-à-fait satisfait, mais j’en ai vu assez pour me dire qu’il vaudrait bien l’effort d’aller voir ce que je peux faire avec cela…Not quite happy with those, but I could see enough of interesting things to do so I think it is worthwhile to work a bit more on this….

Finalement j’ai récupéré mon service internet, mais il se faisait un peu tard hier soir pour préparer quelque chose de plus élaboré, donc une photo d’une église, prise à Hambourg, possiblement luthérienne, mais je ne mettrai pas de photo de Luther, n’étant pas certain que ce soit blasphématoire pour les luthériens, vaut mieux être prudent…donc une église, probablement luthérienne ou autre, à Hambourg, voilà bien longtemps, en noir et blanc et quant à moi je suis bien content d’avoir retrouvé ma connexion internet, même si cet article est écrit du bureau….

Finally back on the web from my home, but this post is actually written from the office, it was a bit too late last night and still much to do….so a quick upload of a photograph about a church in Hamburg, so it may be a Lutheran church, but I wont post a picture of Luther, I do not know if it is offensive to Lutherans to have him pictured, so I won’t take any chance, so a picture of a church, in black and white, taken in Hamburg, long time ago….and I am glad to have my internet back at home…

Une panne, j’espère que tout reviendra à la normale bientôt, donc de mon lieu de travail un article improvisé, heureusement j’avais téléchargé une autre version de la chanteuse, en espérant que ce soir tout soit de nouveau fonctionnel…

My internet connexion is down, hopefully it will be restored tonight, in the meantime from the office, here is an improvised post, fortunately I did upload another version of my unknown singer, so while waiting for things to get back to normal…

Je prends de plus en plus goût à ce médium, bien sûr ce n’est pas comme peindre sur la toile, et l’effet de dessiner à l’aide d’une tablette graphique ne peut se comparer à peindre à l’huile, tout comme d’ailleurs le pastel ou l’aquarelle ne se compare pas à l’huile, par contre ce que je retrouve c’est le plaisir de dessiner, et je prends moins de précautions quant à ne pas ‘faire d’erreurs’, à la limite je reviens à une version précédente et même je peux en faire des versions multiples, ce qui ne se fait pas si facilement lorsque je peins à l’huile, donc j’imagine qu’il s’agit tout simplement d’un nouveau médium au support qui peut varier selon ce que l’on en fait par la suite, j’ai quelques idées qu’il me reste à évaluer.  Alors ce soir j’ai repris cette chanteuse qui m’est inconnue, et retravaillé l’esquisse, une différence notable pour moi avec ce médium est la rapidité, la version la plus récente.

I do like more and more working with this new tool, my graphic pen and tablet, of course it is not oil or pastel painting, first the support is a bit elusive, no paper, no canvas, the computer screen, but I like the handling, the effect, even if I have not discover yet much of the tools available in photoshop, and I like also the freshness, and somehow, I can be a bit less careful, if something goes wrong make a copy and change it, or revert, no so easy with oils, but I have to still figure out what I will do, there a few ways of printing them or using them as animation, so I don’t know yet…so I did rework this unknown to me artist, it was taken in some sort of video awards, but I find her quite interessing… so the latest version..

Que ce soit une panne d’inspiration mais plus probablement un manque de temps pour peindre, dessiner ou faire un article sur un sujet habituel, toujours garder des articles dans la liste des brouillons qui traite de mon locataire, ou mon nouveau modèle de photo, à défaut de modèle comme celles de mes tableaux, j’ai un chat…non botté, mais un bien beau chat….si au moins  sa nourriture était du Puss and boots, mais c’est du Friekies, pas sûr que ce soit la meilleure mais c’est la marque que l’épicerie toute proche a sur ses tablettes…:)

Either from lack of inspiration but more often from lack of time to paint, draw, model or simply prepare the posts, always keep a few drafts, about a different subject, my new art critic, friend and the one who share my apartment now…my cat, or my model, ok it is not the type of model I paint or draw, but so far it is my most available one…and a beautiful one, even if it doesn’t wear boots….but eat Puss and boots…actually it was an old cat food trademark, now it is Purina Friskies, not sure it is the best, but it is the one my nearby grocery store has on the shelves…

Comme tous les chats, enfin je le suppose, il ne peut résister à un tiroir ouvert….Like almost any cat, I think, he feels he has to explore every opening, or drawer, he can find…

En approche finale…In final approach…

La veille, le jour de Noël et le Boxing day, j’ai fait quoi, ben peindre évidemment, et ce tableau est comme on dit en aviation, en approche finale, Il y a longtemps que je n’ai embarqué dans un avion, mais je me souviens que c’était l’expression utilisée lorsqu’on approchait de l’aéroport, avant l’atterrissage proprement dit, le pilote annonçait  ‘mesdames, messieurs nous sommes en approche finale, veuillez attachez vos ceintures, et veuillez cesser de fumer, oui ça fait un bout que je n’ai fait un vol, donc c’est un peu le cas avec ce tableau…qui est tout près de son arrivée….attachez vos ceintures, cesser de fumer..en fait j’ai jamais fumer, la cigarette du moins….

Christmas Eve, Day and Boxing day were good for painting, and as for this painting, it is as they say in aviation, in a final approach, from what I do remember the last time I took a flight, when coming close of the landing point, the  pilot would annonce ‘we are now in final approach, fasten your seatbelts and quit smoking’, yes it was a long time ago…so I think this painting too has been on for a long time, and it is in the final approach…we can’t see the strip lighting….quit smoking…in fact I never smoke, cigarette anyhow…

La lumière en haut à gauche ne vient pas de la piste d’atterrissage, mais plutôt de la lampe de l’atelier, désolé pour le reflet…et le diaporama et la photo / The light in the upper left corner is not the airstrip lighting, just a reflexion from the lamp beside the easel, sorry for the glow,  and the slideshow and photo.
