Deux images tirées de cette oeuvre digitale retravaillée, ce ne sont pas les versions plus travaillées, si je peux l’exprimer ainsi, plusieurs calques sont fermées, donc ces deux versions sont en quelque sorte des versions alternatives, à défaut de meilleur terme, de la version complète avec tous les calques ouverts, de ce dessin, peinture, avec le digital on ne le sait plus trop, je dirais plus semblable à une peinture…enfin peu importe en réalité, je présume…
Those two images are taken from this digital work, with most of the layers being turned off, so they are more like two alternate versions of the whole digital work, the complete version has many more layers, actually some of those layers will only produce more versions, I think that is one interessant aspect of this medium, so two drawings, or are they painting, with digital works it is some kind of hybrid work, or maybe the simple way of describing them, is to say they are digital works…
Probablement qu’éventuellement je présenterai un ensemble des autres versions, autant de cette oeuvre digitale que des autres que j’ai présentées plus ou moins régulièrement…plus intéressant que l’inauguration d’un président dément….j’envoie mes castors dragons s’occuper de lui…Allez à la défense du Canada et aussi aide donc mes amis américains…:D

Esquisse retravaillée, ce serait la première commencée avec une tablette, je sais le nom du modèle, mais comme on m’a demandé de retirer sa photo de mes sites…ce que j’ai fait, je vais donc taire son nom…donc une esquisse retravaillée, je n’étais pas satisfait du visage, maintenant c’est mieux, quant à la photo….non elle n’y est plus…:)
A sketch reworked, since it is called E-0001, I am pretty sure it was the first time I did risk working on a digital art piece, I was not happy with her face rendering, I know the model, but since I have been asked by the fan site where I found her pics, which has been done, all pics are gone, hopefully I did not forgot one…well you will have to rely on what is supposed to be a face and believe me when I say it is better now….as for her name, I will remove it too…but for that I will probably have to go through a few of my pics on my sites…
Semble que ce soit avec mes tableaux ‘physiques’ ou ‘digitaux’, j’y retrouve les mêmes traits, ou défauts je pourrais dire…c’est un long processus, comme une de mes premières professeures de peinture m’a dit…je refait constamment un tableau dans le même tableau, j’aime plutôt me dire qu’ils évoluent, mais je dois admettre que j’ai partiellement raison et elle aussi, ce qui fait qu’ils n’en finissent plus, 5 ans depuis la dernière version, faut dire que j’ai été ‘actif’ bien sporadiquement ces dernières années, mes longues absences en sont la marque indélibile….:)
It does seem that after all, one of my first art teacher, not academic more like community art classes, was right, at least partially…I have difficulties in letting go of a painting, either a physical or digital one….I would rather say that they are evolving, maybe I could do that with a new one, as for this one, 5 years since the last version…although most of this long delay is due to my very sporadic so called ‘artistic career’ over the last few years, as my numerous come and go on this site is showing, like a deep mark, but well this is the way it goes…:)

Oui au départ c’était une pose purement imaginaire commencé voilà déjà quelques années, mais depuis peu, j’explore un peu plus mes logiciels qui permettent de poser des modèles, un peu comme jouer avec des poupées..virtuelles…., donc fait une pose et tiré un rendu afin de travailler cette esquisse, en fait j’ai retravaillé les deux, l’esquisse et la nouvelle image qui devait servir de modèle…ce qui donne un effet assez intéressant.
Yes, when I did started this one a few years ago, it was purely imaginary, but since I did start playing around with my virtual models, almost playing with dolls, virtual dolls…I have decided to pose one of those model to reflect the pose I was trying to work on, the image rendered in the software did use as a reference, but then I started modifying the rendering to look more like the sketch I was doing, kind of interesting effect.

Oui je préfère toujours l’esquisse que j’ai faite à partir du fond vide, mais je trouve tout-de-même l’effet du rendu modifié assez intéressant, même si mon intervention dans celle ci reste bien limitée…/ Yes I still do prefer the one I draw from scratch but I am finding the rendering modified or influenced by my ongoing sketch of some interest, of course my intervention on this latter one is kind of limited, but still it is somewhat intriguing…I think.
Toujours problématique cette pose, un peu imaginaire de ce modèle non moins imaginaire, alors je me suis inspiré d’un logiciel de modélisation, qui permet de poser des modèles, Daz Studio…pas vraiment réussi à reproduire la pose, enfin en respectant les limites que le logiciel utiiise afin de faire poser ces modèles, donc solution médiane, plus facile, un virage vers la pose qu’a pris ce modèle, enfin que je lui ai fait prendre pour être plus exact…donc oui un virage, reste à voir si le résultat sera satisfaisant…:)
Was still trying this imaginary model pose, and could not get to where I want to go, so I did use one of my ‘posing’ software, Daz Studio, taking one of the model I do have and tried to reproduce the pose, those software use limits, they can be deactivated, but if you want the model to keep a more or less realistic pose, you are better to keep them on, so since I could not come with a similar pose, I have decided to use the model pose as a reference photo, some king of turn, not a 180 degre one, but still can’t say if this will be a good or wrong one…:)

Je mettrai éventuellement plus d’informations sur ces logiciels de pose et d’animation, quelque chose qui selon moi est entre le dessin bien technique qui a constitué le beurre et le pain de ma ‘carrière’ et la pratique de l’art, qui consomme surtout le pain et le beurre et ne contribue pas beaucoup à l’achat, mais beaucoup plus au plaisir de la pratique…:D
Eventually I will provide more information on these modelling and animation software, maybe I am mistaken but to me they are some kind of bridge between the drafting software, that was my bread and butter of my so called ‘career’ and the Art practice, that brought me much pleasure, but not much bread or buttter and the money to buy them…:D
Hum les deux expressions du titre se traduisent mal et semblent indiquer le contraire, en fait une esquisse du fond de mon imagination, essayé de corriger la pose avec mon logiciel de modélisation, j’en montrerai plus un de ces jours, mais cette pose imaginaire ne fonctionne pas très bien, mais malgré tout c’est bien amusant de ‘bisouner’ avec la tablette…
No the french and the english title don’t translate into the same thing, a sketch from the top of my imagination, and the pose does not work, even tried to reproduce it with my modelisation software, but still no go although sometimes I will put some of the work done with the software, could produce nice pic to work a sketch from them I think…so in the meantime, a sketch with a problematic pose but still quite of fun just ‘doodling’ with the pen on the tablet….
2 mois en effet d’écoulé depuis le grand déménagement…..encore tellement de choses à faire, et il fait bien chaud ici, donc à défaut d’un atelier convenable, je continue à dessiner à la tablette, tout en profitant de la climatisation, je ne sais pas si un jour elle pourrait remplacer mes pinceaux et mon chevalet, la tablette bien sûr, la climatisation ne sert pas à grand chose dans la production…donc pour le moment, elle fait bien l’affaire…quant à l’atelier, un jour il sera là…en attendant la suite de l’esquisse présentée hier, elle j’ai aussi déménagé mon obsession…:)
2 months since I left the old apartment and move to this new one, and there still so much to do, and it is so damned hot these days, the atelier is not yet set up, so I much prefer drawing with my tablet and the air conditonner of course, to keep going on the same one presented yesterday…not sure if the tablet could entirely replace my old brushes and easel.., maybe but not sure, the only thing that would be used with both is my air conditionners….as for my obsession, yes it did moved with me, did not left it in my old place…

Toujours aucune trace de l’enigmatique personnage, alors je me suis dit que peut-être qu’il est un extra terrestre, donc qu’il fallait le chercher plus haut, plus loin…dans l’espace au delà des frontières où aucun vaisseau, même pas James Kirk et son Enterprise n’ont osé aller…

Un peu plus je n’en revenais pas, passé bien près d’être ingéré dans un immense trou noir, et je ne crois pas que cela aurait été une bonne idée, il est difficile à trouver le père Noël mais je doute qu’il s’amuse à voyager au travers de trous noirs…
Almost got crushed and swallowed by a large black hole, never a good idea to travel close of these things, and I doubt very deeply that even Santa Claus would be mad enough to use those things to travel from place to places…
Then close to desperation, I have decided to come back to my virtual job as a trucker, yes when I do that, I put on my cap, tuck a pack of cigarettes under my T shirt shoulder and travel delivering virtual goodies, it was then December 23 rd, so lots of last minute Christmas deliveries…..J’étais vraiment fatigué et j’ai décidé que je devais abandonner ma quête et j’avais quelques livraisons virtuelles à faire avec mes non moins virtuels camions et vannes de livraison, en plus en ce 23 décembre, il y avait encore beaucoup de choses à livrer
Soudain sur la route une étrange chute de neige apparaît de nul part, au milieu d’un paysage ensoleillé et vraiment trop chaud pour de la neige….étrange, et à la sortie j’aboutis là, passé de chaud et ensoleillé à la nuit et il neige, je crois entendre de la musique de Noël…encore plus étrange…
Suddenly a very limited snowfall does appear in midst of a sunny, way to warm day for snow to fall…very strange…and then after some strange transition I did end up there, snowing and dark skies, in a minute, and from outside, Christmas music was playing…very bizarre…
A ma grande surprise, un village tout ce qu’il y a de plus nordique et pittoresque apparaìt, encore plus étrange, le gps du camion ne peut me dire où je suis, j’ai donc pris plusieurs clichés vous pourrez en tirer vos propres conclusions…
To my great surprise, I was completely taken aback, a village, many snowy roads did appeared, my gps was totally crazy and of no use, could not say where I am…so I did took many pics, so you can draw your own conclusions…
Tout semble indiquer que ce serait bel et bien son village, vous savez le gros bonhomme qui s’habille en rouge, mais aucune trace de lui, pas vu non plus de rennes, ni d’elfes, mais ils ont la réputation d’être bien discrets, mais soudain quelqu’un me fait remarquer qu’il était déjà pas mal tard le 24 et que quelque part sur Terre, on était le 25…et que bien sûr Rudolph et sa gang devait être en train de tirer le traineau quelque part ailleurs…donc non je ne l’ai pas vu, mais faut bien croire qu’il existe….:D
So I guess it does seems to be a Village where Santa Claus would be most of the year, no elves, I think they are very discrete, no reindeer either, but then somebody kind of remind me it was quite late on the 24 th and that somewhere down on Earth, it was already midnight on the 25 th…so I did not see him but there are a few clues that he does in fact exist

Ah croire au père Noël, même à un âge presque vénérable, je le veux bien, en fait j’y ai toujours cru, même si je sais qu’ils ne le sont pas tous, à moins que le clonage ne soit beaucoup plus développé qu’on ne le croit…..évidemment je serais plus porté à croire à sa fille, enfin c’est ce que j’aurais tendance à présumer qu’elle est, et aussi à la dessiner ou peindre….et il semble que pour elle, pas question de poudre magique afin de se glisser dans une cheminée, c’est salissant une cheminée, non la fenêtre est bien plus facile, quoique je ne suis pas sûr que les talons aiguilles, surtout lorsqu’il y a possiblement du verglas ou de la glace, soient bien appropriées…:) Quant à la poche avec les cadeaux, elle a sûrement plein de galants lutins prêt à porter le lourd sac. J’imagine que lorsque j’étais jeune ado, elle aurait fait partie d’un de mes rêves, genre qu’on rêve de la jeune enseignante ou la belle cliente de notre épicerie, à qui j’allais livrer sa petite commande, et qu’elle me donnait un bon pourboire, du moins à l’époque, 25 cents c’était bien, ou la fille du père Noël…:D
Oh yes I still want to believe, in fact, I must admit it, even if I am way passed the age, I am still believing in him, of course I do know that there is some actors, unless the clonage tech is way more advance than I can imagine…Of course, I also believe in his daughter, I think that who she is, and of course I would definitely want to draw or made a painting about her. And she is wiser than her father, no crummy chimneys and magic dust for her, no the window is much easier, and no big bag full of gifts to bear, she’s probably have lots of galant elves, ready to carry it for her. I am not sure too, that high heels are appropriate for those icy patches or freezing rain episodes, not the best choice. When I was much younger, I would probably have dreamt of her, like those dreams, young adults do have, about maybe a teacher, or the young woman who had her grocery delivered from my parents grocery store, and who would give me a big tip, 25 cents by then was a big thing…she must love me…or maybe Santa Claus daughter….:)
