Je ne pense pas que ce soit la dite sainte trinité de l’église catholique, quoique la photo originale du modèle provient d’une page facebook appelée Booted Angel…je ne pense pas qu’il y avait un sens religieux au nom de la page…
So the third one forming the so called Trinity, some sort of trinity, not quite in the religious sense, although if I remember well, I have founded this model pic on a facebook page called Booted Angel, but I don’t think it did have some sort of religious meaning…
Bon avec la bataille économique en cours avec nos amis ricains…il en reste quelques uns j’en suis sûr…j’ai caché une partie de l’image car Adobe Photoshop est américain, ma tablette Wacom aussi, donc j’applique des restrictions aux échanges, c’est pourquoi j’ai caché des calques…ben non, tout simplement que je reviens comme on le fait parfois sur nos soi-disant ‘découvertes’; j’ai commencé il y a quelques mois à créer plusieurs calques, utiles afin de conserver les choses qu’on veut protéger, mais tout cela rend moins spontané le dessin lui même, donc je fais en quelque sorte marche arrière, je conserve quelques calques, mais en nombre limité. Dans ce cas ci, c’est une version ‘minimaliste’ de la version qui est plus fidèle à la photo du modèle. Quant à la guerre économique avec le pseudo-dictateur qui se prend pour un génie économique, coupé des abonnements à des services américains, il y en aura d’autres….mais pour le moment je garde WordPress…:D
Since we are at war, an economic one, with Trump and his americans followers, about half of the last voters who did went for him, I am witholding the american content of this sketch, sorry for my americans followers that did not support this alleged, by himself, to be a stable economic genious…so since Adobe Photoshop and Wacom, my tablet maker, are american, I have decided to hide a few layers…of course no, this is not the reason, a joke…but like with new illumination we do have sometimes, like adding multiple layers to work on different part of the image, it is a good tool, but too much of a good thing, sometimes make it bad, not always, but in this case it as become a bit difficult to work on the sketch itself, not realizing your are not on the wanted layer. So a bit a backtracking, did fusion some layers together, but kept some ‘alternate versions’, this one a more minimalist one of the more realist one, as for the economic war, I did cancel a few american suppliers…there will be more…but at least for now, I do keep WordPress…:D
J’ai maintenant plusieurs de ces esquisses avec versions plus ou moins fidèles à la photo référence, cette version est comme on dit entre deux eaux, entre la version plus fidèle à la photo, et d’autres qui sont plus des versions stylisées…elle date de quelques semaines, pas mal occupé sur divers projets de ce temps-ci, cela se réflète sur la production et les publications d’articles…:)
I do have now quite a few of those sketches with different versions, going from a rather close representation of the reference photo to some interpretations which have more of a loose approach to the interpretation, this one is kind of in between, the more realistic one and some of those so called ‘alternate’ versions, it is a bit old, a few weeks, these days I am working on some projects, and as a result the Art production is a bit slow and of course the blogging schedule is also affected…:)
Oui encore une fois, il semble que créer des calques dans une esquisse digitale provoque un réflexe Pavlovien, je crée une forme avec le modèle et une version abstraite, ou alternative, pas sûr quel terme s’appliquerait le mieux, les deux probablement. Curieux lorsque je peignais sur canvas, le fond pouvait être abstrait mais le modèle restait plutôt réaliste. Faut croire que le format digital m’incite plus à le faire, peut-être parce que je sais que l’autre version ou les autres souvent, sont encore là….
Yes, this time too, it does seems that creating layers in a digital sketch is activating some kind of pavlov reaction, I do create a shape of the model, and the sketch or at least this version, do become an alternate or abstract version of the more realistic one, sometimes there is a few more of them. Funny it does seems that working digital compared to working on canvas has kind of released that way to work toward abstraction, or a more expressive way to draw the model and kind of get beyond drawing realisticly, maybe it would have happen working on canvas but I am not sure of that.
Pas vraiment sûr comment évoluera cette version mais il y aura probablement une suite ou d’autres versions. Not really sure how this version will evolve or if it will bring a few more versions, but I am sure there will be a follow up on this one.
2 mois en effet d’écoulé depuis le grand déménagement…..encore tellement de choses à faire, et il fait bien chaud ici, donc à défaut d’un atelier convenable, je continue à dessiner à la tablette, tout en profitant de la climatisation, je ne sais pas si un jour elle pourrait remplacer mes pinceaux et mon chevalet, la tablette bien sûr, la climatisation ne sert pas à grand chose dans la production…donc pour le moment, elle fait bien l’affaire…quant à l’atelier, un jour il sera là…en attendant la suite de l’esquisse présentée hier, elle j’ai aussi déménagé mon obsession…:)
2 months since I left the old apartment and move to this new one, and there still so much to do, and it is so damned hot these days, the atelier is not yet set up, so I much prefer drawing with my tablet and the air conditonner of course, to keep going on the same one presented yesterday…not sure if the tablet could entirely replace my old brushes and easel.., maybe but not sure, the only thing that would be used with both is my air conditionners….as for my obsession, yes it did moved with me, did not left it in my old place…
Si le peu d’allemand que je connais le rend bien, c’est encore un fois un retour, pas mon premier et probablement pas mon dernier, ce qui impliquerait bien sûr un autre abandon plus ou moins long, pour toutes sortes de raisons, donc oui il y a bien longtemps que je n’avais fréquenté mon blogue, un déménagement imprévu après avoir passé presque 34 ans au même endroit, cela bouleverse quelque peu, beaucoup en fait, le cours de la production, que ce soit de blogue ou de création artistique….et les visites à mes amis blogueurs se sont faite plutôt inexistantes…donc encore une fois un retour…
If the little bit I do remember of my german learning is correct, this is yet another of my numerous leaving and coming back to blogging…this time a quite unexpected moving from my apartment, almost 34 years to the same place, so moving did quite a bit of disrupture in my blogging habbit not even talking to my creative process, still not quite what it used to be, to come to a complete stop again…so one more time, another start…probably not the last time, would not be surprised if over the next few months or years, another reason for stopping blogging or doing art would come again, but in the meantime, another return….
I will write more about the last few months, probably, but for now this is it, a recent digital sketch on my tablet, my atelier is not set up yet, still trying to figure out a good place to set it up so it would be available on hence…so more about that in the future…
J’écrirai probablement un peu plus au sujet des derniers mois, quelque peu chamboulés pour le moins que je puisse en dire, en attendant j’en suis encore à figurer comment réinstaller un atelier digne de ce nom, qui serait plus ou moins permanent, donc en attendant une esquisse faite à la tablette…donc en attendant une des petites dernières…
Il y a de ces jours où l’on fait quelque chose toute la journée mais on peut difficilement dire quoi exactement, enfin un peu de tout, donc un peu de court pour un article, puis je me suis mis à dessiner avec ma tablette, que j’utilise mais trop peu souvent, début laborieux aujourd’hui, sur une esquisse commencé voilà bien des années, un peu comme tout ce qui est en cours maintenant, mais plusieurs sont finis ou près de…donc temps de faire des esquisses et trouver un sujet de tableau..
Some of these days, you do keep busy, but somehow you have almost nothing to show for it, so finally got to my graphic tablet, and reworked one of those old sketches left there to be finished, advanced or deleted…so here’s one of those, already started a few years ago, like much of my works in progress, but now at least quite a few of them are coming to an end, so I guess I am better making some sketches and see if I do feel take one of these into a full fledged painting…
Comme vous pouvez le constater je me pose moins de questions sur le titre, plus simple…au moins une chose dans ma vie qui est plus simple…pour le reste, une prochaine fois peut-être..:)
As you can see, I did not bother much with a title, simple, at least one thing in my life these days that is simples, the rest…well maybe another time…:)
Donc retravaillé l’esquisse 18, toujours un peu rouillé avec la tablette, mais cela s’améliore, je pense…So I did draw a bit on this computer sketch, still a bit rusty, not quite so easy that I wish it would be, but it is coming along nice I think..

Je peux toujours dire que j’ai réussi à rendre le modèle assez fidèlement, pas tout-à-fait véridique, donc je mets la photo…vous vous ferez une opinion par vous-même…

Une autre version, en Corel Paint, en trichant un peu, en plaçant l’image en arrière-plan, cela facilite la correction des proportions….oui triché un peu…:)
Another version in Corel Paint, this time I did cheat a little bit, just by a click you can add in the underlying layer the reference image, it does help correcting, I know I was off, it make it easier to correct…a bit of cheating…:)
