En fait je n’étais pas parti…mais occupé à me perdre dans divers logiciels de photographie, d’animation et d’illustration, rattraper mon retard dans la série ‘Games of Throne’…encore dans la saison 4….donc quelques projets et essais en cours, pour le moment, je vais présenter trois versions d’une même photo, Flin Flon, Manitoba, en fait aussi un peu en Saskatchewan, au nord des prairies canadiennes pour ceux qui n’ont aucune idée où est située cette petite ville minière nordique..quoique là ce ne sont plus des prairies, plutôt de nombreux lacs, paysage accidenté, petites collines et de nombreux effleurements rocheux..

C’est l’église orthodoxe ukrainienne, un site bien connu du quartier, un ‘landmark’ comme on dit si bien dans la langue de Shakespeare, donc quelques photos de plus…
It is the Orthodox Ukrainian church in my area, a landmark of the neighborhood in which I am living, so a few more photos of it…

Peut-être est-ce dû que je suis avant tout un peintre, lorsque j’utilise Photoshop ou Corel Paint, je n’ai pas le réflexe d’utiliser les calques, cette fois-ci je l’ai eu, le réflexe…le calque de correction…
Maybe it is mainly because I am a painter, and in oil painter, so work with layers but they aren’t like those in Photoshop or Corel Painter…and most of the time when I am editing photos or reworking sketches I work on the base layer…and correct again if not right, at least contrary to a painting the various stages are still there in files…but this time I did…so the correction layer…
And the previous version…Et la version précédente…
Et le résultat en superposant les deux calques, en tramant légèrement le calque de correction…And the resulting version, combining the two layers, the correction layer being slightly less than completely opaque…looking for the english word for ‘tramé’…:)
Je me disais qu’il y avait un certain temps que je n’ai pas présenté une photo de Pinceau, et comme il frotte ses pattes sur le dossier de ma chaise…je me dit qu’il se dit la même chose…donc voilà.
Seems it’s been quite a while I did not post a picture of my dear cat, Pinceau, and he’s kind of trying to get my attention by stroking his front paws on the back of my chair, maybe to remind me this, so there it is…
Parfois on aime prendre des risques, bien sûr avec un tableau, le pire qui peut arriver est d’avoir à passer des heures pour retrouver ce qu l’on a perdu, un peu le cas ici, mais pas très dramatique dans ce cas-ci…j’aurais peut-être dû le laisser tel quel mais on veut toujours aller plus loin.
Sometimes we like to take risk, trying to take something very good and get it better, not that dangerous, the only bad thing that could happen being spending hours repairing…seems to be the case here, maybe I should have left it the way it was..
But I did reworked it last night and I think it will be fine, better than the previous version..don’t know yet, here’s the previous version, the more recent one probably tomorrow or later this week…
Je l’ai retravaillé encore hier, mais la photo n’est pas prête…et je crois que finalement ce sera bien…meilleur que la précédente, sais pas, d’ailleurs voici la version précédente..
Playing with fire…hope I will not burn myself too bad…:)
