Pas sûr, mais je crois qu’il manque bien peu de chose, à ce portrait, à ce point tout semble avoir été comme sur des roulettes, donc je vais le laisser de côté, le temps de penser à le signer ou non, et passer au tableau suivant, en fait je l’AI déjà retravaillé…des gants et des yeux…deux indices…:), mais les photos demain ou en fin-de-semaine…
Not quite sure, but seems to me that very little, if nothing, is missing on this pastel, sometimes things just go along, everything fall in place, maybe it is time to sign it, but of course for the moment, I will let it rest and pass to another one, in fact I’ve already reworked this painting, yesterday and tonight…some clues, it is a painting of a woman…eyes and gloves, there two clues..but the photos will come later, tomorrow or over the week-end…

Je ne savais trop si le pastel du port d’Hambourg était terrniné ou non…comme il plaisait à un ami, et qu’il le veut, eh bien il est terminé…..donc quelle belle occasion d’en commencer un autre, un paysage, peut-être plus tard, donc un portrait , oui bien sûr elle est jolie, mais ne porte pas de bottes, enfin elle en porte peut-être, mais la photo ne le dit pas….une image vaut mille mots qu’on dit, voilà la photo du modèle et du pastel fini….du port d’Hambourg.
Did not know if this pastel, of Hambourg port, was finished, a friend who visit my place, was fond of it, and wanted it, so it is finished…so I though that maybe I should do another pastel, no not a landscape, later…, so a portrait of a model, yes she is good looking…:), maybe she’s wearing boots, but the photo doesn’t tell the story, so maybe yes, maybe no..may as well show her picture and also the photo of this finished pastel…

Je comptais bien sur les Mayas et la fin du monde pour me donner une raison de laisser ce tableau interminable, non complété….semble que je devrai réviser mes plans et essayer de le finir ce tableau, et tant qu’à faire je reprends la même résolution qu’en 2012…essayer d’apprendre à dessiner des mains, et des oreilles…toujours difficiles….Quant aux pieds, je dessine assez bien les bottes, ce qui permet de contourner le problème, donc voici les dernières versions de Lonneke, en fait plutôt 3 fois qu’une…
I was hoping that the end of the world predicted by the Mayas, would give me a good excuse, to leave this unterminable painting unfinished, well seems I do have to revise my plans, and since were in a new year, maybe I shall take the same resolution of last year…learn to draw hands, and ears….as for feets….I do have a way to go around that, I think I can draw and paint boots pretty well…:) So the latest versions of Lonneke, more like the 3 Lonnekes…

Un peu plus de ce modèle, qui finira bien par la prendre sa valise, et s’en aller, vers la collection des toiles terminées….bien près du but en ce moment, mais tant qu’à l’avoir tant fignolé, il reste quelques retouches, mais là faut vraiment que je laisse le tableau sécher, l’inconvénient de l’huile…mais un inconvénient mineur….je redécouvre la subtilité et la douceur que l’huile procure, oui encore dans une période où je boude l’acrylique….d’ailleurs, je n’ai pu m’empêcher de continuer à l’huile un autre tableau que j’ai commencé à l’acrylique…
A bit more of this model, that is still waiting to take her suitcase and do, where? I don’t really know, maybe in the pile of finished paintings…..not much is missing, very close to the end, but of course a few little things are not to my satisfaction, so it will have to wait, the time the fresh paint dry a little bit, drying time, the good thing of oil for subtile mix and effects, but also a minor inconvenience, at a certain point, have to let it stand a while….seems I did rediscovered a fondness for oil painting, so again I’m kind of walking away from acrylics….and I could not resist finishing an acrylic painting with oil, of course it is not finished…

Bon, semble que je devrai recommencer à économiser un peu d’argent….sais pas combien de temps on a avant la prochaine fin du monde, mais ce sera peut-être quelques années encore…probablement que le Soleil, la Terre et le centre de la galaxie seront encore alignés au moins quelques jours ou années, donc on sait pas trop, sans compter une possible inversion des poles, ou encore le super volcan de Yellowstone, ou un astéroïde, ou encore des extra-terrestres qui seraient pas gentils, viendraient nous remettre cela d’actualité cette fin du monde; en fait on est bien capable de la faire nous-même cette fin du monde, donc voilà, je dois recommencer à faire attention, ne pas trop boire de fin du monde….bonne bière québécoise….qui immunise contre la fin-du-monde, quel soit Maya, Égyptienne, Nostramadusrienne ou autres….
Et tant qu’à faire, vais recommencer à peindre, ce que je faisais encore, mais à un rythme moindre, et à m’occuper de mes site….que j’ai négligé, j’étais trop occupé à organiser mon voyage de retour vers ma planète natale….au cas où….mais finalement vais rester encore quelques années, je crois….
Well seems that finally, I do have to start again worrying about making enough money for my retirement…in many, many years from now, I dont know yet when there is another scheduled end of the world….I guess the dreadful aligment of our planet, the Sun and the center of the Milky Way will last quite a bit, if it does happen at every 26,000 years, we will probably be in the vinicity for a few days at least….or maybe it will be an inversion of the poles, or a big asteroid, or a super volcano lile Yellowstone who would blow up, or maybe a bunch of renegade extraterrestrials, like those no so kind peoples featured on Independance Day…so for now, at least, I will have to start taking carre of me, my painting and of course my sites….which I do have neglected, I was too busy preparing my return trip to my native planet….but it will have to wait a few years more or less, depending….
So may as well do more paintings and more important, start again showing them on my sites….

La version, que je crois finale, quoique l’acharnement artistique je connais cela…… mais je pense qu’il est bien terminé ce pastel d’Alicia Silverstone; ainsi que les deux versions précédentes, travaillées lors des deux ou trois dernières semaines….sporadiquement…très sporadiquement…:), entre des périodes pas très actives, du genre de celles où on se dit qu’on devrait faire quelque chose et qu’on se perd en chemin, du salon à l’atelier…environ 1,5 m dans mon cas…
The final version, but is it? of this Alicia Silverstone pastel’s, I think it is over and done, but that would not be the first time, that I decide to add a bit more, but now I think it is finished….and also the previous two versions, done over the last few weeks, between many periods of telling myself, I should do something, like art…but got lost more than often between my living room, computer and l’atelier…about 1,5 m or 2 max between these places…need some king of GPS…

Repris où j’en étais hier soir, un peu fatigué, donc plus calme…il y a un bon côté à tout….et elle retrouve tranquillement son visage, qui je crois cette fois ci est où il devrait être….pour ce qui est du reste, c’est encore à voir, la lumière est étrange…comme il se doit dans une forêt habitée par une déesse des temps modernes, sous un radieux ciel ensoleillé de noir…étrange je disais….
Did kept going on last night painting, a bit more tired today, but calmer, in the mood for trying to get her face where it’s belong…and I think it is quite right now…more work still, as for the rest of this painting, with a strange light in a strange forest, inhabited by a modern goddess…so the light is strange, but it is also a sunny day under a black sky…so I guess it is a bit strange…

Je me suis toujours dit que dans mon blog, je présenterais les bons coups, du moins à mes yeux, et les moins bons, voir mauvais…comme ce soir, non pas mauvais, seulement un dérapage…non vraiment contrôlé….
I told myself that this blog would show the good things, and the not so good ones of my painting or drawing, so tonight is maybe not a bad one, but one that went sideway, with not much control…
Commencé la soirée en perdant du temps…à toutes sortes d’affaires, un jour je conterai….donc trop tard un peu de pastel, me sentais un peu trop énervé…donc avant de le pousser un peu trop, je l’ai sagement mis de côté, ce que j’aurais peut-être dû faire avec ce tableau, Kristen…me suis rendu compte, trop tard de nombreuses erreurs de dessin, j’aurais peut-être dû les endurer, je ne l’ai pas fait, par contre il y a beaucoup de mouvement, et toutes sortes de choses….la photo…pour le pastel, pas de photo, pas assez de changements..
Spent too much time, early in the evening, on useless things….some day I will talk about it, maybe…so got to do some pastel, felt a bit too restless, so like the wise man, I can sometimes be…I put it away before it went ‘bezarK’, should have done the same with this painting, Kristen, got in the mood to correct drawings error, too many of them and end up moving a lot of thing around…so for the least I can say that it is a painting with a lot of movement…the photo…no photo for the pastel, not too many changes from yesterday…

Retravaillé quelque peu ce pastel, un peu plus dans les prochains jours…il se fait tard et le temps est relativement court, compressé…:) c’est relatif aurait dit Einstein…
A bit of work on this pastel of Rachel Kirby, a bit more in the next days..time is short, compressed…:) Einstein would had qualified it otherwise…:)
