Parfois je me laisse emporter avec photoshop, et je force un peu la note…mais  pas si mal je pense malgré tout….
Sometimes I do get a bit carried over with photoshop, trying to correct a picture, I went probably a bit too much, but ok i think

Mais je devrais vous montrer l’originale, afin que vous puissiez voir, parfois on peut dire bien des choses, mais une image en dira plus…
But I should also post the original pic, I may say whatever I want, but only this pic will let you decide if it is too much or not…

Une autre photo prise d’une marche pour la paix, c’était en 1982, à Winnipeg, quelques spectateurs au coin de Portage et Main street, si vous êtes allé à Winnipeg vous connaissez ce carrefour, qu’on ne peut traverser qu’en empruntant un mail piétonnier souterrain….il y a le Montréal souterrain, Winnipeg a aussi sa version réduite du Winnipeg souterrain…:)

Another picture while walkng along the streets of  Winnipeg for a peace march, it was 1982, and if you’re familiar with Winnipeg, you will recognize this intersection, Main and Portage street, you cannot cross this one by surface, as a pedestrian you have to go through an underground mall, here in Montreal we do have a rather large subterranean downtown area, so I guess Winnipeg has also a scaled down version of their own Winnipeg subterranean…:)

Souvent, écrire un article est difficile, trouver un titre encore plus, donc oui c’est le tableau, ou pastel 435…les amateurs de la série culte des années soixante diront je ne suis pas un numéro, donc ok pas un numéro ce tableau, mais un tableau retravaillé quelque part en août….fini? sais pas, je devrai voir si son numéro sort à la loterie des tableaux terminés, j’invente elle n’existe pas cette loterie…:)

Writing a post is a difficult thing to me, and finding a title much more though…so yes it is number 435, ok maybe if you’re a bit old and have seen the prisoner, you would answer I am not a number…ok so it is a painting, and I think a nice one…finish? I don’t know, I will have to look if its number come out in my own lottery of finished works…of course that lottery doesn’t exist,,,so the question still stand…

Fleurs arctiques…Arctic Flowers…

Je ne connais pas le nom de ces fleurs, d’ailleurs je ne suis pas expert dans la reconnaissance de fleurs, autres que des roses, des tulipes et des marguerites, ce sont des fleurs….celles-ci comme plusieurs autres petites fleurs sortent tout d’un coup lors du bref été arctique, j’en ai photographié quelques-unes, la première photo d’un album à venir…

I don’t know much about flowers, besides Tulips, Roses and Daisies, they are vaguely known to me as flowers…those ones are growing in the Arctic, and probably some places else too, they appear suddenly in the short Arctic summer, I took a few pics of those flowers, so here’s a first one of what will eventually be an album, Arctic Flowers…

J’habite Montréal, donc même si la neige est encore loin…on sait qu’elle s’en vient, et je l’aime bien, pendant quelques mois….:), rendu au mois de février c’est une autre histoie, donc en attendant  une photo d’un début d’hiver montréalais….

I live in Montreal, and at this time of the year, even if it is not for tomorrow or even many weeks, we do know snow is coming, and I am always happy to see it, for a few months…by February, I don’t like it so much…:), so while we are waiting for it, a pic of an early Montreal winter….

415-52 Cindy Crawford double… Acrylique, 20×30 po, 50×70 cm 2014-08-09

Les deux Cindys, au mois d’août, comme cela fait un bout de temps, je n’ai aucune idée de ce que j’avais en tête cette journée là, probablement comme d’habitude…rien d’autre que le désir de faire un beau tableau avec bien sûr mon acharnement légendaire à pousser plus loin, reprendre et espérer que le tout soit mieux à la fin…rien de bien spécial autrement dit, la photo de cette version du 9 août….

The two Cindys, it was in August, it’s been a long time, so I can’t really say if I was in a special mood or attemping something special, revolutionning art and painting, probably just as usual, feeling the need to paint, redo a few things, hoping that the final painting will be a good one, hardly something worth writing a long essay, so here’s the pic of this August 9 th version…

Je fouillais dans les nombreuses photos qu’il me reste à présenter, je ne pouvais me décider lorsque je suis tombé sur celle-ci, datée du 9 novembre 1983, ce qui devait bien être une de mes premières esquisses d’après modèle, dans ma période ‘winnepégoise’…..

I was browsing through the many pictures I still have to upload, and before clean…, could not decide on which one, and I stumbled on this one, dated November 9 th, 1983, must be one of my first life model drawing, a short pose, it was in the very early days of my ‘artistic career’ during my’Winnipeger Period’….:)

Sais pas ce qui se passe avec WP, mais cela fait quelque fois que je ne vois pas mes articles dans mon fil de lecture…donc…2e essai…

I don’t know what’s the story with WP, did happened a few times, I publish a post and it doesn’t show in my reader…so a 2 nd try…

Encore du retard à combler, des photos prises le 24 août, une nouvelle session de ce modèle au pastel, parfois on fait marche arrière, donc en attendant elle perd la face…elle la retrouvera….

Still much backlog to update, this one was done August 24, this model that did start out as a nebula, that day it was a step back and she did lose her face…it will be back….
