Il arrive ce tableau?

Les deux Cindy…encore un peu de travail, le visage de l’une et l’autre, et des formes étranges qui apparaissent, disparaissent ou s’atténuent, bref un tableau normal quoi….qui va d’un bord et de l’autre, mais je le sens il arrive à la fin, à bon port? sais pas, mais il arrive….la version pas encore finale…

This two Cindys painting is moving, changing, her face and the other, strange forms appear, go away or become more subtile, light appear and leave, a normal painting after all for me, lots of wanderings but I do feel that it is coming finally to the end….the latest version, but not quite finish, or is it?

Encore en train de ‘batailler’ ce soir…ce sont des batailles que j’aime, pas de blessures, ni de coups portés ou reçus, à part des coups de pinceaux, parfois de bons coups parfois des moins bons, je me suis dit que je terminerais ce tableau ces jours-ci, que ce seraient les dernières séances…ce soir j’en doute un peu beaucoup…bof ce ne sera pas la première fois que je m’entête à le mener là où je le veux ce tableau, c’est tout ce qui compte…:)

Still a bit of a battle tonight, a peaceful battle…the only hits are the brushes on the canvas and they are not even like hits, sometimes they are…I am still in finishing mode, but I start doubting seriously that it will be finished over the next few days…..of course I could say it is done but I have to be completely happy with a painting, or close to it…and tonight I feel like it does need a bit more  finishing touches….

Bonne chose que j’aie ces diapositives ou négatifs à travailler avec photoshop, donc lorsque je me sens bloqué sur ce tableau, je vais me changer les esprits….et vice-versa lorsque j’ai besoin d’une pause de la manipulation des fichiers numérisés, d’écrire des brouillons d’articles et des diverses tâches ménagères…qui redeviennent plus pressantes, ma courte vacance est terminée…snif, snif…mais voilà j’ai tout-de-même pas mal avancé avec ce tableau, je pense qu’il est presqu’arrivé à la fin, son visage s’en vient à mon goût, les textures et luminosité des sa robe et ses bottes, me plaisent de plus en plus…bref il manque bien peu, mais elle est due pour un repos…le temps de sécher quelque peu…la photo…

Good thing I do have those slides and negatives to arrange in photoshop, so when I need of break from this painting, I know what to do , and when I need a break from sorting, scanning, modifying those pics  I go back to painting..but now I also must take care of  my domestic things to do…my short vacation is over and I must prepare for this week’s work…snif snif, so what I was going to say is that I did work quite a bit on Liz painting’s, her face is becoming ok, I love the texture and lights on her dress and boots, the background, so it is almost there…but I have to let it dry for a bit of time before working some details….the pic of the latest version…

Une petite pause de l’atelier, c’est au tour de Liz depuis hier, et encore ce matin, donc je vais prendre le temps d’écrire un court article, afin de présenter la version d’hier soir…qui a déjà changé….la suite, probablement demain, devrait y avoir quelques photos entre temps.

A short pause from painting, it is Liz’s turn now, still working on this one this morning, so here’s the latest version, hum not quite right, as I wrote I’m working on it this morning, and will get back to it, as soon as I am finish with this post. So you can expect another version soon, tomorrow, anyhow we will see, highly possible too there will be more scanned photos.

Ceux qui suivent mon blog depuis un certain temps, le savent déjà, parfois je m’attarde, ou m’acharne…sur un même tableau, au moins maintenant j’ai des articles montrant mes photos, pour créer un peu de diversité, et vous épargnez une longue suite d’article sur le même tableau, parfois montrant beaucoup de changements, d’autres fois presque rien, donc voici la dernière version de ce tableau de ce modèle, ses lunettes soleil et cuissardes….qui doit bien les aimer, les portant même dans ce qui me semble être une chaude journée d’été.

Those of you who followed me for a while already know that, sometimes I can stay on the same works for quite an extent of time, showing more or less changes, at least now I do show some posts featuring my photographs, so it create a bit more diversity, and you don’t have to read two, three or four posts on the same painting, not knowing if it did change and where it did..not always so evident, I admit…so here’s the latest version of this model wearing sunglasses and thigh high boots…she must love them, wearing them even in the midst of a hot summer, at least it does seems to me.

Le beau temps et les lunettes soleil…

Avec le beau temps qui revient, il est temps aussi que ce modèle portant ses lunettes soleil revienne nous rendre visite, elle a toujours ses cuissardes, j’avais perdu un peu de contraste dans ses vêtements, je vais tenter de remédier à la situation, malgré que ce tableau est bien avancé, je doute que je le termine dans les prochaines séances…je vais faire durer le plaisir quelque peu….:)

With the nice weather that finally comes around here, maybe it is time now for this model wearing her sunglasses, and thigh boots, not so warm as she’s feeling taking them off….anyhow it would be difficult. I though this painting was lacking a bit of contrast and subtleties in her clothing, I shall try to fix that, even if this painting is quite advanced, I don’t think I will finish it this time or in the next few sessions, I will have to decide to which extent I want to push it…difficult to explain, I guess it is to take it to the undefinable point where I feel it is done….without overdoing it of course.

Du gâteau?

Parfois il vaut mieux écrire un brouillon d’article…plutôt que d’essayer de faire en sorte qu’un chapeau de fourrure, style cosaque, n’ait pas l’air d’un gâteau posé sur la tête du modèle, et parfois, surtout après avoir consommé, c’était ma fête voilà quelques jours, et comme je suis patient…la plupart du temps, j’ai attendu avant de célébrer ma fête, enfin tout cela fait que je ne parviens pas à transformer son chapeau à mon modèle, enfin sa photo, en autre chose qui m’a l’air d’un gâteau posé sur la tête de ce jolie modèle…mais je l’aurai, pas ce soir par contre…

I don’t know, sometimes it is better I think to sit and write a draft for a post instead of struggling with a painting, especially if that on is going well so far, and you don’t want to get into trouble, in this case, it is her fur hat, that my model is wearing,of course I should say more exactly that this photo model’s is wearing, and now it does look more like a cake posed on her head, instead of a hat, and of top of that it was my birthday a few days ago, did not celebrate until yesterday, so not a good thing when you’re a bit drunk to try to fix things on a painting…that I’ve learned over the years…:), so I guess it would be for another time for me to transform this apparently cake hat into a fur hat that goes well with this charming model…

Un manteau rouge…

La version à jour de ce tableau, mélange scène de rue, abstraction et mode, soit manteau rouge et bottes noires, faut bien que ma ‘signature’ ou marque de commerce y soit…..:) difficile à photographier cependant ce tableau, je crois que la photo précédente a été prise au matin, le peu de lumière du jour ou un peu trop de photoshop, ont altéré la lumière, donc la réalité en fait de lumière est quelque part entre les deux, la photo de la version finale sera plus soignée….mais on est pas encore rendu là…

The updated version of this painting, partly street scene, abstract or fashion oriented one, with a red coat and black boots, after all I must include my ‘signature’ or my trade mark….:). The previous version look brighter, but I think it is more of an optical effect due to the daylight that was partly filling the room, the last version photograph was taken at night, as it is most of the time, I try to adjust both in photoshop, but this one particular painting is difficult to adjust, anyhow I will be more careful when time will come to take the final photo, but it is not the time for that yet….

Ce soir j’ai bien le goût de le signer ce tableau, que je termine à l »huile, un peu trop de difficulté à obtenir l’effet que je voulais avec l’acrylique, donc comme je  le fais souvent,  pour la finition j’y vais avec l’huile, et dans ce cas ci j’aime bien le résultat, mais je me garde encore un peu de temps, demain je verrai, peut-être quelques retouches mineures, il me semble que c’est souvent comme cela, j’en termine plusieurs de ces toiles dans un laps de temps relativement court, faut dire que souvent je les ai commencé dans un temps assez rapproché, donc c’est peut-être un peu normal…la photo de la toile

Tonight I am pretty close to sign it this painting, an acrylic but I am finishing it with oils, sometimes I just can’t get the effect I want with acrylics, so I like to switch to oil to get the job done, and I think it is working out today, but I will probably wait tomorrow, have a good look at it and maybe a few touches, but if I do feel the way I feel about it tonight there won’t be much work on it…so maybe another one for 2014, often it seems to me I will finish a few in a relatively short time, maybe it is because I started them in a short period apart too, that make sense…:) the photo

Et le diaporama et la photo du modèle, un modèle de synthèse d’un logiciel 3d superposé à une esquisse, qui ne paraît plus, au début on la devinait, maintenant il n’en reste que la pose…
And the slideshow and the model’s photo, a computer generated one, superposed onto a sketch I made, but the sketch doesn’t show much, it was there in the early stages, but now there is only the pose from that sketch…

Comme je le mentionnais dans l’article précédent, avant que je ne m’évade vers Orion, non pas pour évasion fiscale, mais plutôt pour me changer les idées et sortir tous ces chiffres de ma tête, très encombrant et assommant ces déclarations d’impôts, eh bien j’avais retravaillé brièvement le pastel de Carla, pas encore tout-à-fait à mon goût, mais je crois que j’y suis presque, ce moment où je le signerai…en attendant la dernière version et le diaporama

As mentionned in the last post, before taking away for Orion, not to evade the Taxman, but just to try to clear my head of all those numbers I had to compile for those return forms, I did work a bit on this pastel of Carla Brown, it is still not quite to my liking, not much missing, but to me, there is still something lacking, it should not be too long to fix, I think….so in the meantime here’s the latest version and as usual the slideshow, as for Carla’s pic, if you go two posts before, you will find her…

Et pour la suite du pastel inspiré de la nébuleuse d’Orion, probablement demain et j’ai aussi retravaillé ce tableau de ce modèle, parfois songeuse, parfois souriante, et qui sourit de plus en plus, moi aussi, peut-être suffisamment pour dire que ce tableau est terminé, mais cela on verra si c’est le cas.

And next, there will be a follow up on this pastel, inspired by the Orion’s Nebulae, and on top of that I did reworked this painting featuring a sometimes smiling or pondering model, now she’s more smiley than pondering, and maybe me too, I am smiling, I always does when I think that the end of a painting is almost there…just lacking a few final touches and a signature…but for now, it is still to be decided…

Enfin le printemps..mais faut être prudent…comme ce modèle l’est, elle porte toujours ses bottes, et prend garde de ne trop se dévêtir, il n’y a pas un adage qui dit en avril ne te découvre pas d’un fil, ou quelque chose dans le genre…la photo de la dernière version et le diaporama et la photo du modèle.

Yes finally spring is here, but still you do have to be careful, april can still be a bit cold, so better keep the boots on, at least for this model, and she’s dressed pretty tigh, still cold standing out there…and th slideshow and the model pic.

 

Je viens d’ouvrir sur mon site JMR-ART, une page ’boutique’ ainsi personne ne me demandera plus, comme c’est arrivé à l’occasion, si mes choses sont à vendre, oui elles le sont, pour le moment la page est presque en construction, mais j’ai décidé de la montrer, même si la peinture est encore fraîche…pas celle de la boutique, qui est virtuelle mais celle qui est sur certaines toiles…et à ma grande surprise quelqu’un a offert d’acheter toute ma collection, mais son courriel semblait provenir d’une compagnie, qui possède plusieurs chalutiers…donc j’ai mis le courriel à la poubelle…faut être prudent le premier avril….

And I just opened an online boutique on my site JMR-ART, it is not ready, as the note up front tell, but soon there will be much more on it, so even if the paint is still fresh, not on the gallery walls, it is virtual, but on some of my works, eventually they should all be there…and suddenly I just got an email, somebody was offering me to buy all my collection of works…wow, but the email seems to come from a company who own a large fleet of fishing boats..so I put it in the garbage can…hope I did not lost a large amount of money, have to be careful on april 1 st….
