Une nouvelle esquisse, quelque chose d’inhabituel, j’ai utilisé une de mes photos pour commencer ce sketch, en fait ceci est la version la plus récente, toute ‘fraîche’ à peine 30 minutes à dessiner…

A new sketch, this time using one of my own photograph, this is the most recent version, not much drawing done on it, about 30 minutes..

Encore un peu de gribouillage sur cette esquisse qui se métamorphose au gré des coups de crayons graphiques, la dernière version.
A bit more doodling, using my   graphic tablet and Corel Painter, this sketch is still metamorphosing…

Une autre version, en Corel Paint, en trichant un peu, en plaçant l’image en arrière-plan, cela facilite la correction des proportions….oui triché un peu…:)

Another version in Corel Paint, this time I did cheat a little bit, just by a click you can add in the underlying layer the reference image, it does help correcting, I know I was off, it make it easier to correct…a bit of cheating…:)

Un peu plus sur cela dans un prochain article…à une date un peu floue, étant donné que je publie de manière plutôt aléatoire de ce temps-ci…

A bit more on this at  in a later post, of course the date is rather undefined, my posting schedule is kind of out of track these days…

J’aurais pu écrire une autre page de tournée, mais ce n’est pas tout-à-fait cela, plutôt tout simplement une page faite pour cette esquisse, modèle de Noël en juillet, ici on a dans les terrains de camping, le Noël du campeur, mais comme cela n’a rien à voir avec cette esquisse, et en plus il y a des années que je n’ai campé, je vais donc me taire…:)

I could have written, another page turned, but it is not the case, simply a new page for this Christmas model like sketch…here in Quebec we have some sort of camping parties, ‘Le Noël du campeur’ but I don’t camp, so it has nothing to do with this and I should just shut up…:)

Une version précédente, avec la déchirure, aifn de corriger les proportions, plus facile à faire à l’ordi que sur une toile à l’huile…faut dire qu’à l’huile je prends plus de précautions avant de commencer un talbleau, pour ne pas avoir à faire cela trop souvent…

A previous version, showing some sort of large break resulting from cutting parts of the sketch to refit it, quicker to do that on a computer than on an canvas oil, but on a canvas, I am more cautious before doing these things, and I will plan it more carefully…

Une nouvelle version de cette chanteuse inconnue, en fait j’ai vu son nom…et je j’ai oublié…..cela va me revenir, ah vieillir faut que je m’habitue à noter ces petites choses…
A new version of this singer at a video award ceremony, can’t remember her name…actually I saw it somewhere, though I did not need to write it down, having faith in my memory…..I will get it back sometimes..ah those little things that seems to come getting older, got to take the habit of noting things…:)

Toujours un peu en mode exploratoire avec ce nouveau medium pour moi, je me dis que j’aimerais savoir que c’est sur une toile ou un papier, en fait j’ai commencé un tableau inspiré de la photo et des esquisses, et en même temps je considère chaque esquisse comme une variante du même tableau, disponible, là pour en faire une nouvelle version et l’ancienne est toujours disponible, je ne peux en dire autant pour mes tableaux et pastels…

Still kind of in a learning or explorating mode with this new medium, new to me at least, I am missing the feeling of painting or drawing on a physical support, and knowing it is there in my studio, but on the other hand I do lke that each step is there and can be printed on any medium, each version being almost a slighly different artwork, I can go back to it, merge it, many possibilities, I cannot say the same about traditional painting or pastel….and by the way, I do have a painting in progress based on these sketches and photo…

As for the people around her I don’t know, who or what theyre doing…doesn’t matter…:I don’t know to which extent they will be in the final version…
quant aux personnages l’entourant, je ne sais pas trop ce qu’il faisaient, et pas sûr à quel point ils seront là dans la version finale…
